Standing next to seven US-paletts, Wotruba is thinking aloud. He makes a sketch with motor oil. At least there’s enough paper, and the petrol station even has a photocopier. Those from the beginnings are still the best! His plan is bold: Thirty of the records put on ice, among them hits like Rasberry Fields Forever and Wotrubas Erben, will be melted and formed anew. Sure: All water under the bridge. Still: Should the plan work, one could make progress with the new, improvised screen. It‘s a run against time. Somehow, everything is connected and interdependent …

Was macht man, wenn man gestrandet ist, mitten im Nirgendwo? Mitten im Irgendwo.
Neben sieben US-Paletten stehend denkt Wotruba laut nach. Mithilfe von Motoröl fertigt er eine Skizze an. Immerhin, Papier ist ausreichend vorhanden und in der Tanke gibt es sogar ein Kopiergerät. Die aus den Anfängen sind immer noch die besten! Sein Plan ist kühn: Dreißig der auf Eis gelegten Platten, darunter Hits wie Rasberry Fields Forever und Wotrubas Erben, werden eingeschmolzen und neu geformt. Klar: Schnee von gestern. Dennoch: Sollte der Plan gelingen, könne man mit der neuen improvisierten Scheibe weiterkommen. Es ist ein Wettlauf mit der Zeit. Alles hängt irgendwie mit allem zusammen und von allem ab.
